1 year anniversary, since I got Bruno On July 27th...

This has been the most tiring, life changing but interesting year of our lives.
But it's made such a difference to my life which is so rewarding.
I have anxiety still but not to the level I did. I'm more comfortable talking to others, and it's so nice to have something to care for and love.

He hasn't really prevented me from doing things because I have always struggled to travel with my mum, she doesn't plan or save and I end up having to pay for us to go somewhere and she has to pay me back in increments.
I've never travelled abroad with a boyfriend, the one trip I did take away was uk based to a place I didn't have any choice in picking and in a hotel I had no stay in.
It was disastrous!

The last holiday I took was January 2020 alone to benidorm, Spain.
That was the best 5 days of independence of my life.

I dedicated this year to getting Bruno to a point where I can trust him to behave, that meant the maximum amount of time he has ever had alone was 5 hours daily while I'm at work, weekends he spends all day with me.

But going forward I need to start doing things for myself...
I have tried to do it before this point and I get realy anxious, a bit of seperation anxiety because I really enjoy his company. But it's for the best because he doesn't always do so well in public places. Too many distractions. But Friday I went to wagamama with my mum and he was so good, he sat (layed) down beside us and was very patient despite people passing us so often. He had his own dinner and a few edamame peas, but got restless when he wanted to leave I presume to p**p.
He waited until I guided him to the tree and he did his business just in time for the bus.

He is stubborn and he can be sassy but the benefits of having him outweigh the negatives.
My hope is that in a years time when I review this he will only get better and better.
You've still got plenty of time to live independently and find help with your anxiety! Does Bruno help in getting you to talk to people? I bet people love him!

@BritishFailedAesthetic he does. He's a great conversation starter but it's bad when you get 2 other anxious people as you just stand there like lemons watching your dogs play 🤣😂
@Mellowgirl Someone has to make the first move!
