@Turtleowner Since it's a baby you'll need to give it proper supplement for the growth of the shell and I'd hope you have proper lighting and know how to clean the water. This is going to be more than the first few days though, just feed it and let it get used to the new place without bothering it

Turtles, like every other living thing, know how to breathe. If your turtle had some kind of defect it would have been noticed by now

I would assume would depend on the type of turtle, as some of the extremes can be very different...

But from Google

Turtles don't experience deep sleep as humans do. A turtle's sleep is more of a long rest within which they must come up for air several times a night. Aquatic turtles can be underwater for 4 to 7 hours, only bobbing their head above water to breathe.
