Is it weird that I bought my cat a water fountain?

I had to get one for my Exotic shorthair. She has no snout, so when she tries to drink out of a bowl, she almost drowns herself. She likes the fountain, but she still prefers when I turn the faucet on for her.
Yes, she's spoiled.
