@Angelbrat Goodbyes are inevitable, and always painful. But if you can, take comfort in the fact that :
As she passed, she remembered you as her closet friend in the world. And that she was never once without absolute love, loyalty, or protection, and couldn't have wanted for more. You did right by her.
In time, you will honor her memory, by adopting another lost soul and giving them the world; just as you did her.
