My dog had to be put down saturday night. I feel heartbroken and empty. She was only two years old and was such a gentle soul. I hope she is in a good place now and that' she's finally in peace. She had gut inflamation and a tumor. Our beloved Luna, she will always be remembered <3
I feel for you. I did the same to my Boston Terrier, Bonnie, just before I came here. She had heart failure and refused to eat or drink, so I knew she would just spit up the pills the vet recommended at first. When I told him that, he said it would be a kindness to put her down.
I couldn't stay in the room with her. I removed her collar and tags, whispered, "I love you , babygirl," and walked out crying, I took the items home and put them around the neck of my Boston Terrier lamp. There they will stay.
Remember the good times with your dog. You did the right thing. She was in pain *(so was my dog) and you did her a last kindness.
@Exhibiter100000 exactly, i loved her so much. She was always so happy and bright, even in the worst situaions so just not having here makes me feel so empty
I am so sorry. What a sweet doggy face she has in the picture. It is hard to lose a dog pal because they love in such an innocent wholehearted way. May you be comforted by your memories of the good times you had with your friend. I am sure she is in a good place.
