I Consider My Pets Family

My little girl is home from the hospital. She started having idiopathic epileptic seizures. I'm so happy she's home but very nervous. [image deleted]

I had a dog who had regular seizures for the short time I had him. He was such a good dog. Until one day he bit my niece, lightly, just a warning, but I couldn't risk it... and I had to give him back to his precious owners, who were already inquiring about taking him back. Yeah that was sad, but he was so happy to see his old family.

Anyway, I've spent over half my life being unwell, so when P came along, it seemed like it was my turn to take someone who was suffering. To nurse and nurture them in their time of need. Giving truly does give back, I mean, I loved that dog and he loved me. He was SO good for me, and I know I was good for him.

It doesn't make it any less scary when it happens, but if you can take your emotions and relax them, and be the calm in that storm, it can -really- comfort your girl. I'm sure you two have a wonderful bond, and that you're taking great care of each other.

I'll say a prayer for her. :)
