Can the satanic temple really be considered authentic satanists? I BARELY consider the church of satan as such.

Both just use satan as a symbol. In my opinion, you don't have to be a theistic satanist to be authentic, but you AT LEAST have to believe in black magick. Even if all you think satan is is just an archetype, you at least have to do some ritual, or something satanic.

The satanic temple are just progressives, at the end of the day. And this isn't a slam against progressives, because the politics of the church of satan are also pretty lame; they essentially ayn rands objectivists, mixed with philisophical hedonism. At least they do magick tho.

To me, the authentic satanists are the temple of Set. Their claims are that there was a historical exodus from egypt, and that the hebrews as well as other groups, took the diety Set (god of darkness) and incorporated it into their theology. Basically, Set is the true inspiration for satan. I don't really know if this is true; and I doubt anyone really does... it's just a theory. But it is authentic.

I've met my share of interesting folk, and I can tell you there are genuine Satanists out there. People who worship Satan and all of his demons. But unlike the Church of Satan and the Satanic Temple, they tend to be very secretive, because Christians tend to get all pitchfork-and-torchy when they find out about them. I can't offer advice to you on how to find those people, other than to just keep looking.
@LordShadowfire Sure, you should tell me. Freemasonry? I am curious.
@BRUUH Freemasonry isn't the way to go if you want to meet you real devil worshipers. Just keep a lookout. Casually mention that you work with demons and devils, and want to know more about how to do so.
@LordShadowfire Hmm. I see. So what is the way to go? I'd like you to share what you know. :)
@BRUUH Start by hanging around pagans a lot. If you're at a loss as to where to find them, I'd start at one of those little crystal and herb shops. Then, once you're acquainted with a couple of regular pagans, casually mention that you're interested in doing work with demons. Every pagan knows at least one of those.
@LordShadowfire What about organized bodies?
@BRUUH As I say, organized bodies that actually worship Satan are very secretive. You'll have to start by getting to know an individual or two here and there.
