As a guy one thing that has changed in pagan spaces since the 90s in my personal experience

People no longer approach me at events assuming I am the normie BF or husband who got dragged out to an event based on my being male.

Back in the day those that didn't know me started from the assumption I was there because I was dragged out there by a girlfriend.

Or maybe it is just me that has changed and I am alot more confident in these spaces after 30 years. lol

Isn't it nice? People now accept men as Pagans too.

@Crazywaterspring It is definitely different. I live in a city with a very well established pagan community that is very open. Like we have a Beltane event that has been going since the 70s if I remember right.

But yeah, guys were definitely in the minority and have been for a long time. And most of the time that was never an issue, just a very different experience.

The only folks who really ever rubbed me the wrong way was the Dianic wicca/ militant Starhawk kind of crowd but at least around here that has dropped off alot too. Probably since alot of them turned out to be TERFS.

Mostly I am just glad to see less assumptions being made about anyone in general who shows up at an event.
