To me and my pagan friends this holiday is a celebration of Eostre, the Dawn Goddess and her awakening from her winter death.
We shall be lighting a bonfire. Later we will jump the embers 3 times for good luck - we’ve learned through experience that any earlier looks cool but is rather dangerous 😂 . We’ve got a meal of baked sweet breads and cider and of course chocolate eggs. And then this evening when we are full of food and drink we’ll separate, go find our boyfriends and do the other thing a fertility goddess is associated with.🙂
That’s how it’s done by us. But however you enjoy the Easter holidays, have fun.
