Do you think all religions originate in the same mix of stories that we know as mythology?

I think it's a nice thought, but have never been able to actually see all the connections. I prefer to see there being differences which will not be gelled together, for in this way the whole matter can continue to be thought about till i no longer am a thinking person. I've heard of Graves too, and have something about Greek Myths he did. :)

A lot of the stories in the Bible aren't unique. Floods, resurrected God figured and divine retribution are also in older religions. The Sumerians, Hittites, Persians and Egyptians have their own versions.
