Dynamic Surface
I couldn’t sleep the other night.
For some bizarre reason I was obsessing over the structure and movement of the Sun’s surface.
Granulation caused by convection columns….
Coronal loops (plasma trapped in magnetic flux)…
Neither of these features is static.
It’s easy to forget how incredibly dynamic the Sun really is.
