Every now and then the vastness of the Cosmos comes clearly into focus for me

The incredible infinity and beauty of it

And all the petty little squabbles that the human race gets all worked up about become laughably unimportant and insignificant

Yeah, the things that bring that home to me most have been from the Hubble 'Ultra Deep Field' images. I believe the full resolution version contains about 25,000 galaxies, each consisting of billions of stars.

It makes me sad sometimes it's so beautiful. I feel stuck in this body. Stuck being human. At the mercy of endless glitches.
@AlchemyFox i really understand your feeling. You suddenly realize you're in a tiny little room with a window looking out at Everything.
Thank you for this comment AlienFox. 2024 just started out on a high note 🌞
@AlchemyFox I think all who possess a modicum of self awareness coupled with intelligence and empathy,
Feel this.

Big fuzzy hugs to You,

Yes...the awe and wonder of it is humbling, somehow. I've felt that same clarity of what is really important, those times I was facing the death of a being I loved.

Cheers to this new year, robingoodfellow. ✨🥂
@Piper and cheers and Happy New Year to you, Piper ✨
I could not agree more. I can't help but wonder though, which "petty little squabbles" do YOU deem " laughably unimportant and insignificant"? I'm just curious.
@robingoodfellow No? Meh, Pretty much expected. Once again, Liberal silence speaking VOLUMES of insincerity and phoniness.

Whatever it takes, I suppose.
I believe that once we die we get to explore our vast Cosmos, before we begin our next life.
@NativePortlander1970 You're querying the choir...😇!..😊

Why did I get the impression that your belief aligned with Sagan's?...
THIS IS ALL THERE IS.

No matter.
@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON Even though I was a great admirer to the late great Professor Sagan in my youth and early adulthood, I still am, sadly he was one of those Atheists that didn't believe we had unique spirits that didn't survive bodily death, which always baffled me.
