Falling Stars
by: Rob Paquin
Wishing on the falling star
Living while I'm learning
Building bridges, right
Just before I burn them
Striving and Diving
Living happy, being well,
And always here still trying
Things I need just out of reach
Things I want nowhere to be seen
Coming home
My house is clean
But there's all this dirty laundry everywhere
People with assumptions
Their panties always bunching
Past my day of throwing punches
And there the fighter sits in thought
There inside the poet; Caught
With every honest word he's ever brought
Never sold.
Always bought
And so the star keeps falling
Voices distant - Calling
Streaking through the dead of night
No problems left for solving
Ties that bound dissolving
Cycles broken
Nothing left revolving
And the body was left there
Sprawling
~The Snowdog
