Eternally Knowing
A Rhyme of Truth and Knowledge
by:Rob Paquin
When that long lost love
Comes for a visit
Is it never too late
Or is it?
Is the time gone by
A thing that complied
Or is it all just against
The physics?
<~ The physics of time is one of the most profound mysteries in science, challenging our intuition. It is not just the "ticking" of a clock; it is a fundamental dimension linked to space, gravity, and the irreversible flow of the universe. ~>
Here I sit inside my mind
Tracking all of my time
Wasting wishes
Taking scars
Bleeding out into my Stars
Those stars of mine
That I adored
The people that always came before
The things I knew that I had needed
My hopes and dreams
Damn near defeated.
<~ When a star implodes, its core collapses in seconds from planetary size to a city-sized city, triggering a massive, energetic supernova explosion. This core-collapse supernova ejects outer layers into space, forming a neutron star or a black hole, creating heavy elements, and briefly outshining entire galaxies. ~>
Beyond the horizon that can’t be seen
Where nothing is as it seems
I sit and writhe
With what’s left inside
Stretched out beyond my means.
<~ The "principle of means" primarily refers to the Kantian ethical constraint against using persons merely as a means to an end. It dictates that actions must respect the autonomy, consent, and humanity of others, forbidding the exploitation of people or their resources (bodies, talents, labor) to achieve goals, even good ones. ~>
Used and abused
Like we all are
The karma of all our scars
With tissue hardened way too far
All behind the scenes.
A whirlwind of all we’ve done
Obscured by the rising sun
Inside the bad times
We had some fun
Which to me just seems obscene.
Because in the end of our distraction
We found that we took no real action
Sitting inside
our satisfactions
We gave into Satan’s dream
<~ The “true dream of Satan" in spiritual contexts refers to a demonic or false dream designed to bring torment, confusion, fear, and anxiety. These dreams are meant to plant doubt, hinder spiritual growth, and draw individuals away from God. Common examples include nightmares involving traps, pursuit by dark figures, or situations of chaos. ~>
And now we all shall reap the crops
Of all the hopes that we have lost
Into the hellfires
We have tossed
The World in which we live
Unto the bastard rich we bend
With half the world still in pretend
Without a cure
that will ever mend
And nothing left to give.
<~ "Give until it hurts" is a phrase, famously associated with Mother Teresa, referring to extreme, sacrificial generosity. It means giving time, money, or resources to the point of personal discomfort, sacrifice, or inconvenience. The intent is that true love and generosity require a "cost" rather than just donating surplus. ~>
Because all we have is being taken
By the wretched few
That are indeed forsaken
I doubt the world shall reawaken
And so shall evil win on out
And to you now, I say “I’ll see ya”
Knowing that I can’t free ya
I spent decades of rants
meant to plea ya
My faith has traveled South.
<~ A plea is an urgent, emotional request (entreaty) or a formal legal statement made by a defendant in court responding to charges. It can also mean an excuse or justification for an action. Common types include "guilty," "not guilty," or "no contest" (nolo contendere). Synonyms include appeal, entreaty, request, supplication, excuse, and justification. ~>
So here I sit inside my mind
Knowing that I’ll never find
A world that understands
What’s KIND
Which has set my spirit free
Knowing that we all are doomed
Way too fast and way too soon
Imploding like a Star
Resumed
A Black Hole Shall We Be !
