@SW-User it happens slowly over time so you get used to it

but I remember "party" telephone lines
mail without zip codes
banks were not interstate
the internet had not yet been invented

I remember modems and aol chat rooms
fax machines
typewriters - and the self-correcting ones were hugh improvements

you carry more computing power with your phone than the apollo astronauts needed when the landed on the moon.

oh, and I remember sputnik
