I feel sure that the decline of spirituality in the modern world, not even religious belief but a connection to something other than sheer materialism - and the complete absence of care in society for our world - is due entirely to the awfulness of light pollution.

No one can fail to be moved by the stars.

Another reason why living in the country is better! You can look up to the star-flaming heavens, shake your head speechlessly, and start crying over the beauty of the universe.

@RuthGratiaArtis Beauty is a valid criterion for scientific truth, according to my maths teacher, this genius man. He said laymen likely will not find a raw symmetrical equation to be beautiful, but experienced physicists or mathematicians will be able to see the inherent beauty.
