One day in Heaven
Peaks stretch to the sky
Clouds caress
and the rainbow flies
spanning the rains embrace
through sunlight’s kiss
as my perfect day
is touched once more in bliss
as my loving friend plays
gently and knowingly
with my needy heart
touching teasingly
weaving wondrous art
with willing pleasing lips
bringing heaven ever closer
and softly urging hips
asking ancient posers
Is love alive?
Can things get any better?
Could life possibly contrive
bringing heaven even nearer?
I’m doubting very much
and falling slowly deeper
at each more willing touch
sends passions ever steeper
And then finally I’m sure
On the way to Glen Gillan
here knocking at the door
I’ve had one day in heaven
