I Love the Night Sky

When I actually get a moment it really is fascinating to look at the night sky. For a few minutes it allows you to get a perspective on things. I just like to sit and think about just how much is out there. Our planet is but a spec of dust in the scheme of things. I'd like to try some time lapse photography of the night sky as the earth rotates. But to think that the closest star, alpha Centauri, takes 4 years for the light that it emits to reach Earth. Wow.
