~ My Lullaby In The Sky ~

Whether the cosmos is painted
in shades of sapphire or obsidian,
her nocturnal candlelight
has always dawned a quelling kiss
atop my somber laced mind...

as "Goddess Moon, my moments
with you, I feel most blessed",
my heart and lips graciously chime.

No matter the form she takes,
her every supple curve
is sheer beauty to behold,
and although she may hide behind
a shadow of a cloud,
never will she cower.
While showered in such ethereal bliss,
my soul finds a tranquility
that's held only within her sky of night.
How sacred. How heavenly;
the one I've called my lullaby
since childhood's darkest times.

How could I ever in my wildest dreams hope to write a fitting remark to such an open and artistic mind, except perhaps thank you.

I am not in the league of anyone who could think in your way, nor can I hope to express my thoughts and feelings in any way but basic vocabulary.

So I will move on in my own blundering way, feeling that I have had the pleasure to meet you and others who have the way to express themselves.

@Uncfred Your comment is way too generous for me, but I'm thankful for it. I'm a mere blundering being myself and my abilities aren't any better than yours, nor anyone's.

I've always had an expressive strike in me, but my early days of creative writing were an utter mess. While I know other's are way more talented than myself, I still believe we all have creative and expressive talents within us. I've witnessed it with some close friends actually.

It's been a pleasure to meeting you too....💖.... and I'm glad you enjoyed the writing about my lovely muse.🌙✨
@Uncfred I'd say you are, as you saw the artistic beauty and the words as they were given to you.
@MoonlightLullaby It's nice to see you use the word muse again. 🌙
