Couldn't avoid it!
Witho no curtains on my window it was shining straight onto me in bed, although by then it had risen enough for the tint to have faded to a very light yellow
Why these silly names though for the full moonlight being tinted ? I don't know whence they come but it seems a very recent fashion.

@ArishMell I know you are a good Radio 4 listener, like me and there was something about this subject the other day, but I'm afraid I can't recall when. However, it isn't a new practice, but I agree it seems to be more prominent these days. Try this:

@FreddieUK Thankyou! I didn't happen to hear that particular item but I know it has been mentioned when other Moon names have come up.
I've just paused to read that RMG description. It says most of the names are ancient North American indigenous ones but oddly does not credit the others, simply labels them as "other cultures". Anyway I have indexed the site for future reference.
