Was it faked? NOT A CHANCE!
I watched and listened to the whole mission from start to finish.
Anyway, the USSR monitored the mission and would have been delighted to declare it fake.
It was real...

@walabby And lets not forget Australias part in making sure the whole world saw it in real time..😷

@walabby why can’t they go back today?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Ferise1 Boeing..... Seriously; The Moon is still at the cutting edge of our technology to reach. And there is nothing really there in resources that we need. Its a usful way station for real space exploration. But our technology is still a generation or two from that..And dont think for a second that they are going to start shipping people to the Moon or Mars for relieve the population. Its just too costly. Both to get there and to keep people alive there.😷

@whowasthatmaskedman really? It’s at the cutting edge.? Back then we had computers the size of a room and they only had one megabyte😂😂😂

@Ferise1 The computing tech and communications are magic now.. But we still use chemical reaction motors to get the stuff up into the air and through space. Its way too heavy and way too slow..We need a different way of driving the whole thing. While those ideas are around, they dont work properly. An idea like cold fusion could set us on the path to the outer planets and stars.😷
@Ferise1
why can’t they go back today?

Who says they can't? As soon as you pay for the budget, they'll get right on it...

It's not that they can't... it's a, no one wants to fund it, as they don't believe they'll be getting enough money in return.

Heck, I believe they have said the Chinese are in the moon right now... some suggest they have mining helium 3 or something like that, which can be used for nuclear fuel or something like that.

@Ferise1 Been there, done that. Besides, it costs a lot of money, and the US government is spending a lot of money giving tax cuts to billionaires...
