Well that’s great. Do we really need to? Or couldn’t that money be spent improving the medical provision
helenS · 36-40, F
@Royrogers Same could be asked about opera houses. Do we really need them?
Royrogers · 61-69, M
@helenS are you suggesting a landing on the moon will improve our culture. Besides you are not comparing like with like. The health provision in the uk is one of the best. The one in India definitely needs more

@Royrogers
are you suggesting a landing on the moon will improve our culture.
Essentially, yes. Because improving technology is just as essential an element of our culture as music.
Royrogers · 61-69, M
@helenS as this has already been achieved. Ok a different patch of dusty surface, then all it means is not much has improved. I assume all their towns and villages have clean running water?
Palvinderkaur · 46-50, F
@Royrogers ISRO is already earning through its projects
Royrogers · 61-69, M
@Palvinderkaur ok so how is the infrastructure in India?
helenS · 36-40, F
@Royrogers I'm not Indian so I can't answer that question; I would assume many villages don't have clean water. I would also assume that not landing on the Moon will not provide them with clean water. Really I think your approach is rather simplistic. No offence meant 🌷
Palvinderkaur · 46-50, F
@Royrogers India is improving day by day. You can search on google
Royrogers · 61-69, M
@helenS No offence taken I just think this money is misspent. I also think the money on HS2 in the UK is wasted
helenS · 36-40, F
@Royrogers Yes you may be right – I don't know. I see technology as an essential element of culture.
Royrogers · 61-69, M
@Palvinderkaur good to hear I would still prefer all that massive amount of money to improve welfare and infrastructure
Royrogers · 61-69, M
@helenS quite accept that a certain level of technology is indicative of an advanced culture. But I just think of the poor in India and I find it sad
Palvinderkaur · 46-50, F
@Royrogers India is the world's fifth-largest economy by nominal GDP
Royrogers · 61-69, M
@Palvinderkaur that’s great but the provision of clean water doesn’t reflect that
