Are women really much more romantic than men?

I cook her dinner, give her little gifts. I like romance myself but the other night-
GF: "You cook dinner tonight. I need to put my feet up."
Me: "What, I don't have feet?"
So I turned to another man to help. Nigel Slater's green chicken curry.
Got praise from GF and now wants me to cook more often.
So I guess I will be.
