I Love Looking At The Moon And Stars

The best thing about the PG&E blackout was playing games by candle light, and the night sky.

The amount of stars, and the size of the moon, were hypnotizing. I haven't seen anything like this since I camped as a kid. 🌙

Kewl. How big was the blackout?

I remember the big northeast black out that shut power off most of the Eastern Great Lakes and Northern Atlantic seaboard. One of the best two nights ever to be honest.

@MethDozer it was an easy 24 hours. They told us us it would last for 3-5 days, which is still do-able, but I wasnt totally prepared.
This is the first house I've ever lived in that doesn't have gas. So, no stove and no hot water. Again, not the end of the world, we do have a fire place, but it wasbt as comfortable as power outages in the past.
I know what I need now. A camp stove and a shot gun are on the short list.
Some gasoline and ice would have made our comfort level even better. ;)

@MethDozer True. Candles, and a bunch of teens, is not the smartest idea.

@rottenrobi Teens are never useful.

@MethDozer Lol! They're a rare breed. They'll be great again at about 22.
