One of the amusing aspects there is the Hot Springs small-time shop-keeper / hotelier who concocted it claimed Biblical authority, but made the Holy Land barely visible. Nor is his world flat, but appears inspired by a roulette-wheel. Was he hedging his bets?
At least he's settled the apocryphal Mediaeval argument about how many angels can occupy the head of a pin. He shows them as about five thousand miles tall.
