I Believe That The Earth May Actually Be Flat

I don't, and am fairly disturbed that many people do. A friend told me I needed to watch Behind the Curve (currently on Netflix - https://www.netflix.com/title/81015076) so I did.

Even though they prove themselves wrong using semi-scientific experiments, and even though you hear them tiptoe up to the line of self-awareness at their blind spots to crazy conspiracies, in the end, they hold tight to their beliefs.

I try to continually question my own beliefs and adjust my worldview when new information becomes available.

How about you? Do you hold fast to your beliefs, even when proven wrong? Or do you adapt and grow as your understanding of the world around you increases?

I have definite opinions, and I don’t suffer fools lightly. However, I do adapt and grow as I learn new things or new information becomes available. I will change my opinion upon discussion, and I do enjoy hearing other viewpoints. I believe in science, though, in the scientific method, so I think flat earthers and antivaxers are idiots.

This documentary will only serve to confirm your current position, I assure you.@ChampagneOnIce

@MildlyInappropriate I probably won’t watch it then as it will just irritate me.
