Do you believe in the great flying teapot in the sky? If not, why not?

@Adeptlinguist Do you?

@Adeptlinguist if you believe in a flying teapot in the sky then I think it dumb. I don't believe in flying teapots in the sky .
@Harmony Why don’t you believe it? Lack of evidence of its existence? Why is it dumb to believe in it?
Harmony · 31-35
@Adeptlinguist A teapot has never spoken to me spiritual ever. I believe in a God but he doesn't live in the sky . I have all the evidence I need
@Harmony You don’t believe in a teapot yet you say atheism is “dumb”. That makes no sense.
What if I told you the teapot had spoken to me? Then, presumably, believing in the teapot would no longer be dumb, right?
Harmony · 31-35
@Adeptlinguist Atheism lack a certain knowledge that I find to be dumb
@Harmony but you lack knowledge of the teapot.
What “knowledge” are you referring to?
Harmony · 31-35
@Adeptlinguist right. So should I believe that teapot now speak to the masses . No , I think for those people who associate God and a teapot as the same are particularly dumb and probably need mental heath assistance.
Harmony · 31-35
@Adeptlinguist knowledge of God and spiritual existence.
@Harmony You are not arguing logically. Either belief in an invisible entity without empirical evidence of its existence is not dumb, or it is dumb. Your “God” is no more real than my teapot.
@Harmony That is not knowledge. It is belief.
It is supremely arrogant to call atheism “dumb”
Harmony · 31-35
@Adeptlinguist how would you ever know to believe in what I believe. A teapot is not the same as God. I believe in God and an afterlife. No he doesn't live in the sky, He does not behave as a tea pot does. What illogical about that?
@Harmony you believe that and that is your right. But to say that people who do not share your delusions are dumb is arrogant.
You haven’t explained how your “god” and my teapot are qualitatively different. Both are invisible. Both “talk” to people in mysterious ways. How are they different?
Harmony · 31-35
@Adeptlinguist A bit of arrogance is something we all have as we are all different? How does that make a teapot real?
@Harmony it is no more or less real than any “god”. Do you believe in Zeus?
Harmony · 31-35
@Adeptlinguist you describe the teapot as flying in the sky. So that's your answer. I don't believe that that equates to a God.
Harmony · 31-35
@Adeptlinguist no I don't believe in Zeus. What's way is your mind thinking?
@Harmony i didn’t say it did. It’s absurd, as is the notion of a “god”. But you choose to believe in one and not the other.

@Adeptlinguist I believe in a God that I believe is the true God of the universe. What other way can I put it?
