It's important to investigate what influenced someone to commit the crime as well...

Yeah... Like, why would a woman hit herself with a hammer - then claim that she was trafficked and raped by a string of random men.

It still doesn't make sense to me - but I hope that the 8 years she got will bring the innocent men some justice for her crimes.

@HootyTheNightOwl I made the post after reading that news.
@Riemann The thing is that there's sometimes no understanding what drives some people to commit crimes - and I think that this particular crime is a perfect example of that.

I mean... hitting yourself with a hammer really hurts - and she hit herself how many times with that hammer???

We can't say that she did it because she was hungry and couldn't afford to eat or that she was afraid of these men... I'm afraid of men in general, but I don't go hitting myself with a hammer and accusing them of things that they haven't done.

I struggle enough with getting my voice heard as it is.

@HootyTheNightOwl Yeah, her actions were extreme. More investigation is definitely necessary. I hope she gets justice as well.
True, maybe we can learn from this case.
@Riemann She certainly needs a psychiatric evaluation... and an education on the ways that what she did has affected these men up to now and on into the future.

The thing is that we don't learn from these cases... it just makes it harder for women who are affected by rape and domestic abuse to get their voices heard and taken seriously.

@HootyTheNightOwl We need to find what made such an impact in her life that she went that far...
Agreed, it gets difficult for woman. Every case should be investigated well. These are human lives, male or female, and these case salso influence others.
