I Am Concerned About the Future of Earth

Imagine this;

You are a college professor. The first day you tell your class that if they have a nickel to place it in side a jar. (Yes every time they have one.) You instruct them to do this every single day for the entire school year. By the end of the year it's going to add up to at least 500 dollars.

The reason I ask you to imagine this is because it's the same idea that people have when it comes to littering, leaving lights on, running water unnecessarily, or any other negative thing.

Yeah for you it might just be one peice of trash. But someone down the street is doing the same thing. And another in a park. And another not too far. And so many more all over your town. This all adds up to about 100-500 pieces of trash in one city.
Yeah in your house it might have just been you that left your lights on in the bedroom while you cook down stairs. But I guarantee you are not the only person to do so. And this to adds up to wasted energy.
Yeah just now it's only you who ran water while brushing your teeth but you are not the only person. For there are others who are doing the same thing. That every little thing adds up.

Please understand this. Yes you are just one person. But believe me there's a bigger picture that cannot be ignored.

So heartening to see young people like you trying to grasp the reality of what is happening today, the world over. Keep it up dear and spread your message on FB it would reach a bigger audience than here. Keep going dear and all strength to you.

@wickey I really do try. I've studied this topic of global warming since I was a kid. I do believe it's always been there. But we as people have made it worse. Yes some rising cannot be helped (aka more cars on the road) but that doesn't mean other things can't be. I know I cannot change the world. But I can at least speak out in hopes others will hear me and start standing together because I know I know, that it really does matter.
