An alien race appears in front of you

When you are walking along a path by yourself, there is a flash of light and then an alien is suddently standing in front of you. Before you can even say hello it hands you a device with a series of buttons on top (+, -, GO, and a digital display showing today's date and time) and then steps back, smiles, and says "for time travel". Then it vanishes.
What do you do with it?

Take photographs of it. Upload them to as many different storage services as I can manage. Write a will and send a copy to all my family. Check to see if there is any indication of how long the device will continue to work; does it have a USB charging port?

Check that my mobile is fully charged and that I have a big powerbank with me. Email all my friends and family to say where I am and to ask someone to come and fetch me in a couple of hours.

Take a deep breath, push the + button a few times, take another picture, upload it. Make notes with a pen and paper of the exact numbers in the display along with the exact time now.

Take another deep breath, panic, chicken out without pressing the GO button.

Go home for a cup of tea and a big think.
