I Believe In Aliens

Tonight, I was sitting in my living room when I looked up at the window and I saw what looked like a flash of lightening so I went to see if there was a storm and there was nothing. It was a big flash, blueish-white like lightning. The kind of lightning that lights everything up because my curtains were completely close with only the window sills exposes on the bottom and the sides. I was on the phone with my husband and it surprised me enough to make me go quiet. And thats when I headed outside to see. Then, when my husband got home and after I peeked through the windows several times to see if maybe there was something I missed, we headed to the store and when we did, we saw something moving above us and it was a white owl. The kind associated with alien activity. It perched itself on the roof and allowed us to look at it and when we were done, we looked back admit was gone. Owls are supposedly common in the area (I'm new around here) and I'm sure they fly fast but it was all a little bit eerie. Something felt off. I live in a part of the U.S. that if sighting and alien encounters are common, though and most people believe around here.
