The great lakes

The Great Salt Lake in Utah, United States.

Fun fact: The Great Salt Lake has a railroad causeway that separates the lake into two bodies of water.

The blue side is mixed with fresh water from three different rivers, so its salt levels are much lower than the pink side.

The pink side has almost 10 times the salt concentration of the ocean and is home to salt-loving organisms that give the water it’s pink hue.
