@Nitedoc I never thought I needed to go to Arkansas until I just now looked up info about it. Thank you 🙏 are there any places you recommend for the outdoorsy type?

@PrestonJ You're welcome. I've often mentioned on this site that Arkansas is one of Americas greatest treasures and best kept secrets. What type of outdoor activities are you interested in?
PrestonJ · 36-40
@Nitedoc hiking with mild difficulty, I like some climbing and altitude but I also love being near water and cliffs, or places where you can look out for miles

@PrestonJ The best places will be in North AR. There are so places. Stick with the Ozark mountain regions of N.W. AR. The west central area my be great place to start. Start in Hot Springs National Park first. Read up on it. It is much more than National Park. Read up on Hot Springs specifically too. You'll be amazed at it's history and what all is actually there. I'm serious. Read a little about Murfreesboro. It has the only diamond there in the US. Anybody can go there and dig and pan for diamonds. People find them there pretty often. Most of them are small and make a great souvenir or can be put in a jewelry setting for a nice keepsake and conversation piece. You can float the Caddo river there. Hike trails of all skill levels and cruise on the three lakes there that as called the diamond lakes. Fish, scuba dive, swim, or just relax in a cabin or campground on the lake. Read I little about Hot Springs first and them get back with me. I'll be glad to give you the inside scoop on a lot of things. And that's just in and around one town in NW AR!
