I Want to Swim With Dolphins
It's on my bucket list, meeting and swimming with a dolphin. I think dolphins are amazing mammals, and I still remember my first time seeing a pod of dolphins.
We lived in Georgia on St. Simons' Island, and there were always dolphins hanging out and playing near the wharf. Then, one weekend my dad decided to take my brother and I to Cumberland Island, which had once been a play-place for the rich, before The Great Depression. When we went, the grandest of mansions were naught but ruins, and there were wild horses on the island.
As we went to the island, there was a whole pod of dolphins swimming and jumping in and out of the water by the dolphins. I stood ear the railing to get a better look at the aquatic mammals. Some of the dolphins were looking back at me. It was sooo very special!
Sadly, the closest dolphins to me are a 12 hour drive away. : - (
