UK protest on sewage spills

Hi,
Very much a UK issue where lots of pollution of seas and rivers is taking place. A petition is being debated in Parliament soon. In addition there is a paddle out event being organised for the 16th May to raise awareness.

Thought to share so people knew what was happening.

Hopefully there will be change soon.

Until they start hauling water company bosses off to jail for continually enabling this to happen nothing will happen.

@Picklebobble2 The trouble is they are owned by multinationals, not people.

South East Water, one of the most appalling, is 25% owned by NatWest. It expects dividends.

@peterlee If you or i don't do our jobs properly then we're subject to the full extent of the law.
There's no reason why they shouldn't be held accountable to the same standard.
Dividends or not

@Picklebobble2 I agree. The Government is well aware of this.
The lack of investment, and concern for people is lamentable.
