Tbh it amazes me how people will avoid the truth then act hurt and/or surprised when it turns into a problem.
I really think people hide from negativity too much. It's so unbalanced.
Like building a castle in the sand then feeling betrayed when the waves come wash it away. You gotta pay attention to the whole truth, not just that the beach is beautiful. Becauce it's not just beautiful. One thing isn't just one thing. And if you make the mistake of oversimplifying it, only accounting for the good, you're avoiding the reality. Positivity can't save you and it definitely won't protect you when the truth comes calling. When the tide comes in, I'd rather be in a house of stone. I'd rather of considered everything good and bad and built from that. Not the hope that the ocean loves me and won't do what it does because I think it shouldn't.
