Is this dress appropriate to the wear to the beach
I wear this dress all the time out, going places and it’s summer here and we’re going on holiday to the sea. My utterly controlling bossy sister says I can’t wear it to the beach, it’s not appropriate, wants me to go shop and get new dresses to wear there and says if I don’t I can’t come. Is this insane. The whole holidays I’ve been with her all she does is boss me around and tell me what to do 24/7. Im exhausted, depleted I don’t know what to do,

I suggest you don't do anything she asks unless it's something you want to do anyway. She might get angry but you can calmly tell her that you've had enough of her orders, opinions and control; from now on, you want to live your life your way.
How could she prevent you from going on holiday? Is she funding it and you can't afford it yourself? If so, why not take your holiday at home with friends?
Unless the place is some kind of 5-star celebrity resort, I'd say that dress would stand out on the beach and attract many eyes. If that's the effect you want, why not? It's lovely. If you want to blend in, check out videos of people on the beach you're visiting. There's no need to do any extra shopping unless that's what you want, and if you do it might help if they're things that will also be useful at home.
