@Jackaloftheazuresand I’m not trying to make anything personal, just stating a general observation. I don’t think there is an attitude in places where going shirtless is normalized. There is in the US because it’s considered bad. You have to have a very aloof attitude to purposely go against what everyone believes in. That’s how you make change, by creating discomfort. When everyone gets used to, there won’t be an issue.
There is a difference between doing what is right despite the odds and doing what one wants just because they want, damned be anyone who says nay to them. This would be a case of change just for the sake of change. It's not worth it, being that the status quo is already established and no insurmountable harm is coming from it, to push back is a wasted effort. Even in those places like Frankfurt they are aware that some don't like nudity and they do so anyway. About the only people on this planet who aren't aware are the people out in the rainforest. Everyone else is doing so for their own self-interest not some societal good.
@Jackaloftheazuresand I’m all for acting in my own self interest. I think acting in your own self interest is the best thing to do in any case. I always hated altruism. Be damned anyone who thinks they have a right to tell me how to enjoy my life.
Totally! All the hypocritical conservatives in America get so uptight about girls wearing skimpy bikinis. I guess that's part of their newest outage, the BS term you now know and love: wokeism. 😆
Americans learning that their culture isn't universal or even necessarily typical and being in absolute shock remains one of my favorite things to witness, its like some form of toxic culture shock.
