I Absolutely Love the Ocean

Around here we call it the Aegean, but it joins the huge expanse that is the Mediterranean, which is linked through the Pillars of Heracles to the Atlantic!

The idea of the ocean appeals to me. It's a very wet desert like place, because man can't live there without some varying compromises.

I love, and fear the ocean. When I say fear, I mostly mean respect, but out of respect for the ocean, fear is also conceived. the fact that we know less about the ocean than we do outer space? that frightens me for some reason. I find the waves crashing on the shore, very relaxing, and the sound of the ocean near and far, is very calming. I just fear the unknown, and I respect the ocean enough, not to challenge it. I think we need to embrace it, but approach it with caution.
