Tribute to Jacques-Yves Cousteau 1910-1997

He devoted his life to exploring and understanding the undersea world, and imparting that knowledge to the rest of us.
He developed the aqualung and an underwater camera for deep sea photography.

Growing up his adventures on the Calypso, his ship, made me want to be a marine biologist. Sometimes I regret not making that happen.

Same.
I did two majors in college: fine art and marine biology. I chose to follow the art side.

To this day its one of my " if i could live my life overs".
When i was a child i loved the sea. I loved being under water. I loved being on the beach at night.
I was the only one who seemed to love the beach on stormy days. I could spend whole days fosicking in rock pools and just bumming around in the tide line.

What a life he must have had !
