Watching his show when it came on tv at night was a priority for me.
There has never been anyone else like him since he left us.

I admired him and what he accomplished in appreciation of...and passion for conserving the health of our oceans, too. That whole other world of life that live in our seas and oceans, is precious and so vulnerable to human action. I realize you know this, but I wish very much that more people cared.
@Piper Agreed.

He tried to acquaint people with the oceans...
Same.
I did two majors in college: fine art and marine biology. I chose to follow the art side.

To this day its one of my " if i could live my life overs".
When i was a child i loved the sea. I loved being under water. I loved being on the beach at night.
I was the only one who seemed to love the beach on stormy days. I could spend whole days fosicking in rock pools and just bumming around in the tide line.

What a life he must have had !

His shows and much earlier shows like Sea hunt is what got me interested in diving in the 70s.
@DeWayfarer I've never seen Sea Hunt but I've always meant to check it out.

@robingoodfellow some investigative stuff in those shows. Lots of sciences.
@DeWayfarer I used to watch his shows all the time, and loved them.
