We were all going to DIE!
They Promised!

But actually,
They Lied and Got Rich and now they Laugh at Us!
@KneAuxBody very true...hahaha

@KneAuxBody The people who were/are concerned with global warming, melting ice caps, and a rise in sea levels did not ”promise you are going to die”, at least none of the articles I read were that silly and histrionic. What they did say was that it would take a long time, and that human activity was accelerating the process. That we wouldn’t likely see the impact until it was too late.

Who is “they” and how did “they (get) rich”, exactly?

Ironcially, I remember seeing that one of the problems we face is that humans are selfish, short sighted, and short lived creatures that are likely to be dismissive of this issue because of these shortcomings. The fact that it will not be something drastic like a 200 foot elevation of the water line over the course of 5-10 years (something a reasonably intelligent and observational mammal could comprehend via personal experience). The (metaphorical, fictional) frog in boiling water analogy.

“global sea level has risen 6-8 inches over the last 100 years” -https://www.climate.gov/news-features/features/interactive-map-how-has-local-sea-level-united-states-changed-over-time

A more realistic and actual prediction than “you’re all going to die” is that sea level will rise 5-8 feet over the next 100 years (which is something like a 1000% increase over the 6-8 inches of the previous century).

It’s not expected to impact you. You don’t need to do anything about it. The worrying is for people who are concerned about the impact on future generations, and the future of the planet’s ecosystems.

@Dust057 Aren't you smart! It's funny how the Artic Circle has never been more vibrant and colder for decades! You're baffling with BS! Sad!
@Oster1 I agree with you

@Oster1 your predictable dismissal of the issue and petty outrage at information is not surprising. Selfish people never like hearing things that imply they are less than perfect or that their lives might need change. That’s why the presentation put out years ago was titled “an inconvenient truth” 😂 sorry for the inconvenience 😂

Again, it won’t impact you, you can continue to go about self righteously being a self centered primate.

@Dust057 I see and understand how you failed to grasp 10th grade Biology! I now see how you want to ban CO2 as a plant and oceanic life source too! The number one element of all life source.

Please get back to me, when you gain a freaking clue! OK? 😉

@Dust057 Based on archaeological evidence in the Dogger Bank area of the North Sea, the average sea level rise over the past 10,000 years works out to be about 12 inches per century, so by your figures it has actually slowed down a bit in the last 100 years.

@KneAuxBody Yeah I don't take climate change activists seriously. Yes, climates change, but is it a world ending issue? No.
