Have you ever swum near sea turtles?

Are they docile creatures?
I found a pretty big one where I swim , but it's giving me anxiety😂
I heard that they can chop off your fingers with their bites

Not on purpose but yes. They were amazing and I swam away to leave them alone.

@Hassan That wasn't an issue for me or anyone else on the snorkeling trip. I saw several sea turtles and got pretty close to one. They seem pretty docile, but no doubt in my mind one could sever a finger easily.

@candycane Swum is the past participle of swim. Swam is past tense.
