Nature Boudoir and The No Fallback Option

I recently read an opinion by a photographer that boudoir shoots can only be done indoors. His reasoning was that only a bedroom or private room can contain the sexual energy that a boudoir session is intended to capture. He didn't elaborate on why he thinks a nature or outdoor shoot would release such energy and I also don't know if he can tell the difference but I do have an alternative.

For the more adventurist girl there is the option of a no fallback shoot. What a no fallback entails is that she has nothing to fall back on and has to continue with the session. As the shoot progresses she sheds her clothing which is either taken away till the end of the shoot or destroyed. She has to continue fully undressing as the shoot progresses to complete the session and will only be provided with covering again once completing a fully nude session.

She can only complete the session or make her way back home in whichever state she's in by herself, giving her incentive to continue. The shoot takes place in an unenclosed area that isn't frequented by visitors. There should be about 2 or 3 individuals or groups separately passing each day. The intention isn't that she's seen but that there's a real likelihood she could be seen.

If she's discovered she can't cover herself and should not be able to easily hide so that she has to continue posing with onlookers. This factor with the other aspects of uncovering and potentially exposing her body to anyone provides the sexual excitement and tension to capture. She should be someone who isn't petrified by public nudity but not too comfortable with it.

A nude camp is also excellent for a no fallback experience. To create the sexual tension she has to stay naked during the camp for a number of days under constant supervision of a male onlooker. She only has a tent to sleep in uncovered at night but during the day has to stay outside. To not relieve the tension she isn't allowed any self pleasuring and for discipline has to do physical military style training.

I 🤔 nk you're mixing up your personal kink with an established art style.

Boudoir is NOT about control over others - its an open agreement between an artist and a model, (ofttimes both are the same person).

The key elements that make 'Boudoir' a style is the hidden moments of intimate privacy one gets a peek into .
Its about softness, dim lighting, clever angles, lingerie and glamour .

The word "Boudoir" is LITERALLYFrench for a woman's dressing or bedroom.
- So no......its not an outside thing.

You went from talking about art straight into your own kink.

This is whats known as clickbait.

KNOW of which you speak.
Speak of which you know.

Boudoir photography is all about depicting empowerment and class towards women's sexuality and desire. It has a strong history. Its about women celebrating their own sensuality, and often healing their own relationship with how they view themseves.
Its self love, its glamour, its finding beauty in the self.

It IS NOT a power control thing over women in an outdoor setting.

Sheesh 🙄

@OogieBoogie Who said anything about control? If that's what you get from the post you're the one mixing up things. It's because of this stupid that I've started adding disclaimers to my posts explaining what they are about which rather ruins things.

It is about feeling and evoking emotion and not every woman wants the same thing. You are assuming your style is the only valid style. And I did not go from art to a 'kink' but explained right from the start what it is about.
@DrewM don't try and bullshit me, theres heaps of times you mention the phrase " she must" , literally.

And as a bit of a kinkster myself, you and i both know this is a power dynamic kink that youre mentioning: forced nudism, exebitionism. Cmnf. D/s.
Name it whatever, but its not 😔 Boudoir.
If anything its BDSM photography.

And thats fine.

Just don't go defining it as something it's not.

And....you dont know my style.

boudoir shoots can only be done indoors

A boudoir refers to a woman’s private dressing room, bedroom, or private sitting room.

That doesn't include the outdoors.

@DrewM
Except that people do understand

Most do, but it seems as if you don't. 🤣
DrewM · 41-45, M
@Northwest Then what is the issue? What it looks like is that you're objecting to a change in meaning arguing that it should be static according to your own perception.
@DrewM who decides ?
The flipping MEANING OF THE WORD DECIDES...🤦‍♀😅

If we all went round changing definitions of words we wouldn't be able to communicate.
It would make descriptions useless.

. If they didn't you wouldn't get boudoir to begin with.

What?

Historically a boudoir was a private elegant sitting room where a woman would go to decompress and be able br herself and express her emotions. It was an intimate place where a woman was free to loosen her lacings and feel safe to do so.
The room is what changed, not the meaning. A boudoir was architecturally compressed into the concept of a bedroom when people weren't living in such extravagant houses. The meaning is still there.
It developed into a style of photography, with the inherent feel of the intial meaning.

Im not judging boudoir photography, ive done it.
Its stunning, it IS empowering in my view.

Being forced to remove ones clothing and stick to another's agenda is not an empowering dynamic.

What im saying is:
- A man, doing his thing, kinking out about some fantasy about controlling a woman, (which is fine within peoples freedoms to be/do whatever), is NOT within the parameters of the ethos of boudoir and the personal, intimate expressionism of sensual freedom of women it portrays.
Yours is kink photography.
Which is ok.
Its just not boudoir.

Im just judging your lack of art history knowledge.🤷‍♀
Its like saying pointalism and expressionism are the same thing.... just coz definitions are hazy rationales.

Definitions by their sheer meaning are d.e.f.i.n.e.d.🤦‍♀
