Hi. It is legal in California to be naked on your own mountain top

home thats gated from visitors?

Huh? As long as you're not exposing yourself to minors, and this is your home, and you're not exposing yourself to the "general public", California does not care. Plenty of nudist colonies.

Growing up, I went to the clothing optional beaches of Northern California, on regular basis. Was never bothered by anyone from law enforcement (occasional Japanese tourists pulling off the road on Hwy 1, trying to get shots using their telephoto lenses.
As long as you are not in view of the public, you should be ok. I know people will say as long as you are on your own property you can do whatever you want but that’s not true, if seen you could be charged with indecent exposure in the public view. I know it’s messed up like if you are having a party and people see you drinking, you can be charged with being drunk in in public

As long as you "have a reasonable expectation of privacy" you're in the clear, legally.
@daydeeo reasonable expectation of privacy only works if you’re behind a privacy fence.
Just because somebody lives on a mountain doesn’t give them the reasonable expectation of privacy if there’s a road that goes by the house and can be seen from the road then no outside of the house or a privacy fenced in yard their is expectation of privacy

@Firedragonco2 Depends on where the road is.
