@MiriamIshida: Talk to him and make sure you both understand what is wanted. The dungeon I go to uses a stoplight save word system that works very good. Green means everything is fine and you can get harder. Yellow means slow down you are approaching the limit. Red means STOP NOW.

The dungeon I go to is a teaching dungeon and the dungeons are monitored. If someone uses RED and it isn't obeyed they will enforce it. I figured if it was good enough for them... Besides it allows for play and yelling "Stop" even if you don't really want them to stop but also allows for knowing when it is serious and they really need to stop.
