I never realized how fortunate I was, although I didn't realize it at the time. When my husband punished me, he took me to our bedroom to give me the spanking. It was never kept as a secret from our children, but at least they never saw it. Hearing it was a different matter altogether.

It ceases to be embarrassing when you're used to it. I got bare bottom slipperings in my late teens, often in front of my brother and other boys. I was used to it so I didn't think anything of it.

Gail, I agree. Being seen barely dressed or even half-naked casually isn't such a big deal but being purposely bared for spankings was always mortifying! Especially if people were there to watch me get spanked 😱
