My Credo: Faith, Marriage, and Domestic Discipline

I am a happily married woman who has shared 23 years of marriage with my husband. We both hold doctoral degrees, enjoy successful careers, and are blessed with three well-adjusted children whom we raised without spanking. We are also Catholic Christians, and we proudly stand by our faith. Yes, we believe in the Virgin Birth, the Holy Trinity, and the death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe that salvation is offered to us through His sacrifice and is ours to receive through faith. I have never been ashamed of these beliefs.
The spanking stories I write are inspired by experiences and situations that closely reflect the dynamic my husband and I share in our consensual Domestic Discipline relationship. This is a mutual agreement between us, grounded in love, humility, trust, and accountability. We believe that, when freely embraced by a husband and wife, this dynamic can complement a marriage by reinforcing commitment, encouraging personal growth, and strengthening the bonds of partnership. Our goal is to honor God through our marriage and to live out our understanding of traditional marital roles with love and respect. Honoring God also means I promote sexual relations to be enjoyed as intended: within the boundaries of marriage.
Let me be clear: I am not abused, I am not oppressed, and I am not seeking the attention or companionship of other men. I love my husband, value our marriage, and share these stories because they reflect a deeply personal aspect of our relationship.
Domestic Discipline is not for everyone, nor is it the only model of a healthy Christian marriage. Every couple must discern what works best for their relationship, values, and circumstances. For us, this dynamic has been transformative and has helped restore and strengthen our marriage. Having experienced its impact firsthand, I feel compelled to share our perspective with other couples who may never have encountered this concept, as I had not, and who might find value in the structure, accountability, and intentional respect it can bring to a relationship.
I share our experiences not to prescribe a universal solution, but to offer an honest glimpse into a marriage that has benefited from this approach. My hope is that our story encourages thinking outside the box, reflection, open communication, and a deeper commitment to the love and promises couples share.
