Working with older girls now

Hi everyone,

Lately I've been doing a lot more work mentoring older girls both here online and in person. They are in their late 20s to late 30s a couple even in their 40s. Any advice on discipline? I've certainly found that there it helps to treat them no different from kids. When a girl in her 30s is put in the corner and faces a sore bottom, it's amazing the change that takes place. But I'm open to what you all think, or if you need this kind of help, let me know!

Someone who consents and submits to this kind of discipline tends to have a model for it in their own head. I think the best course of action is open and honest communication where you learn what motivates them, and triggers the responses that fulfill their need for discipline. If their unique needs are not being met, the relationship will likely not last.
