No, I never got a bedtime spanking or any other kind. My mom was too worried about being “cool” or being my friend but at the same time it wouldn’t take anything more than me leaving a light on or just forgetting to pick something up and she would get insanely mad and give me the silent treatment for days, sometimes 2-3 weeks. It didn’t matter what you tried to do to change her mind, she wasn’t gonna have anything to do with you until she felt she had tortured you enough. When your mom is mad and won’t let you talk to her or let you hang out with her and she makes sure you remember how mad she still is at you, that gives you the absolute worst feeling in the world and makes you constantly worry if you’re about to make her mad or not. She was a great mother other than that.

I do not remember either of my parents ever waiting to bedtime to spank me, but there were times when I would get a spanking (normally belt or paddle) and then told that I would get a second spanking (hand this time) before bed.
